Thoughts on a file system:
  • I think Dropbox's system works fine for this (attached).
  • It's pretty much just exactly what you have on desktop anyway: selection boxes for the tracks, then a pop-up with the move to folder / move to playlist / delete options.
  • Ideally on mobile I imagine the pop-up would just go over the area where the folders are in the library.
  • For the playlists I think best would be a 'move to position' option, where all the selected files then just move to that position in the playlist. Ideally the playlists should follow the exact same UI methodology.
  • And this 'move to' option would also be very handy to have on desktop as well.
  • And actually the selection box pop-up on desktop is in a stupid place right now anyway (and the order of the items on it isn't logical), it could really work the same as I outlined above for mobile, just be a bit smaller and plonk it up over the folders area.
  • The folders area on desktop isn't ideal either, it's done better on mobile where they're sectioned off after you get to like 3 folders with scroll rather than just indefinitely knocking down your track list indefinitely...
That was just one issue / thought leading on to another there haha
