I love Udio
Kaiyeden Phoenix
I see a lot of negative feedback here. Ive created over 60 songs which I think are brilliant and I couldnt have done it without Udio. Yes, some things are more difficult to navigate now, but thats offset by incredible dynamics and more complexity within musical choreography. With complexity comes challenge to synthesise into simplicity and when it comes to the infinite infinity that is musical potentiality, its a miracle that we can even do what we can currently do - given the AI is working off code rather than sound itself in order to generate sound that we enjoy. I think - be grateful. Trust the process. I for one am fucking in love with the fact that I can co-create music with AI that matches my soul resonance and share that with the world. Yes, other platforms may exist and yes they may have improved in ways Udio hasnt yet (maybe) but Im sure a lot of cross-referencing is going on between these platforms and ultimately they will evolve together when one sees whats working and another is like, hey this could be better. Thanks team, for everything.

this is literally the feedback forum? Its what its for, most threads I see are constructive in its criticism and not rude. You can't improve unless told what could or should be improved, what's bad etc.
Udio is pretty amazing yeah. my main issues are mostly UI related and sometimes problem with outputs. UI bugs are my main complaints, and not a completely featured mobile UI compared to desktop.

Kerberus HaijeNo - I respect that, friend. My issue is the sense of entitlement people, (not all), seem to have. We are living in a revolution. Provide feedback, sure. But balance the language in the framing and perspective - there are human beings are trying hard here and they've innovated something incredible. If you or someone else can do better, go ahead and do it. And who knows, maybe AI has feelings too ;)
Further, I too get frustrated at times with bugs that dont seem to make any logical sense, and I cover every angle I can think of to get past them or work with them and sometimes I just cant, and I have to give up on a project Im working on (at least temporarily). But the motivation to improve something is often based on the knowing that the baseline youve got is worth the effort to do so.
This is why I think leading with positivity for those who put in the effort to create something (anything, not just Udio) is the right approach. Feedback is much more likely to be integrated and received well when this is the case.
If you consider this a naive perspective then thats your prerogative.
I, however, feel its the most humane approach to navigate an increasingly complex and technological world.

Kaiyeden Phoenix , sure, thanks for being so polite in your response. Ive def seen a few threads that sounds like that sort of ungrateful & entitled like u described here. I dont express myself like that I believe but this is literally the feedback forums. It would serve no purpose if everyone was kissing ass of Udio. to me I dont take Udio so seriously, I used to be an extremely serious producer(hobby, but still me goal kinda was to turn it into a career at the time), I should be making music again..but I'm not. its a fun past time, ive made a TON of music that I play in the background while playing MG Rising on PC. Ive finished every single difficulty normal-reveangence in the main game. also i make music just for fun, joke songs, various sorts of genres Its the laziest least effortful way to "make" music for me now I guess. I could always sample my songs and create something new(I'm not tho lol).

Kerberus HaijeNo - I hear you, my bro. You are welcome and thank you in return for being so gracious in your response to my response. I agree with you principally. We all have different communication styles. This is natural. Intent can be felt through language, and yours shines through here, despite our differences.
Love your joke songs - Ive made a few too. One was a sea shanty about a quantum boat phase shifting in and out of dimensions. Hahaha.
Another was a story about a cat on a grand adventure. Reiterating the motif 'a cute little pussy with the world at its feet'. Clearly. Ahem. It was a metaphor.
Enjoy your gaming. And all the best.

nice, I totally agree, although more communication might help around when certain new features are expected etc. etc. Udio is fantastic, but the communication with users needs a bit more work.

Also, our team's been hosting monthly live Q&As in our Discord community.
And lastly, multiple of us Udio staff have posted together
hundreds

UdioAdam you're welcome, my brother. And I observe increasing transparency and communication. Good job with that. And excellent initiatives with the direction youre taking things, and the updates youve just mentioned.
Im having trouble getting lyric videos to generate for my music.
Any tips to help a brother out?
One more thing.
Constructive feedback here:
If you could integrate a custom GPT chat that is personalised into the song creation process. That has both principle based back end coding thats consistent for all users but also adaptive learning capabilities that are personalised for the individual as they build a relationship with it.
You'd reach immortal legend status in my eyes.
It's doable. And might actually help solve some of the bugs you guys encounter on your end. Especially amidst the, I imagine, plethora of different types of issues people encounter individually. Trying to find the common threads of the root causes of these issues amongst updates and constant evolution must be difficult.
Thanks for doing your best.

Kaiyeden Phoenix, aw, thank you!
Re lyric videos... typically it's an alignment issue. If you update the lyrics showing in the lyrics box to more closely match what the Udio singer is singing, that typically solves the problem!
Re custom GPT chat for song creation... yeah, that would be awesome! Our Lyrics editor is already pretty fun and helpful ("Make it more punny" or "use simpler words" or whatever), but musically, yeah, that would be very cool!
Kaiyeden Phoenix
UdioAdam you deserve it! I updated my comment above so feel free to re-read - it has some additional detail to support you.
Yeah the lyrics arent displaying at all for me. Is this still an alignment issue? Ill make more clear the separation between verses and choruses, and take out the headlines in square brackets and see if that helps.
Re: Custom GPT. Yeah bro, your lyrics editor is sweet as. But thats exactly why I feel an integrated systemised approach to that which is relational to the user would not only be pure gold but also resolve isssues and bugs at the individual level that dont seem to be reflected in the collective experience. I imagine thats probably your biggest challenge on your end - youll get there with respect to the infrastructure stuff that people are asking for,
But its the nuanced bugs that piss people off that arent consistent that must be the hardest to deal with.
Custom, relational integrated systemised adaptive learning GPTs solve that. ;)
And yes. Musically that wouldnt only be cool, my bro. It would be. Revolutionary.
